How to Wash Your Windows Without Getting Streaks

Nothing makes a home feel brighter and more inviting than freshly cleaned windows—but if you’ve ever finished a long afternoon of window washing only to step back and see streaks, you know how frustrating it can be. Fortunately, with the right technique and a little know-how, you can achieve a streak-free shine every time.

1. Start With the Right Tools

Skip the paper towels and glass cleaner from the grocery store. For a professional-level clean, you’ll want:

• A soft microfiber cloth or lint-free towel

• A bucket

• A mild window cleaning solution (a mix of warm water and a few drops of dish soap works great)

2. Work on a Cloudy Day
